In 2002, Doug Hyde was a young artist painting pictures for his family and friends in his spare time. In 2005, Doug Hyde was named as the UK’s best selling published artist and described as the UK’s most popular living artist on a BBC TV national news broadcast.
Since then Doug’s popularity and profile has increased both at home and abroad, and he has recently returned from a sell-out tour in Japan. Yet despite his phenomenal success he has never lost touch with the realities of life, and has continued to produce work based around his love for his family, his unfailing optimism and his sheer enthusiasm for life.
Doug has been featured on television both on the BBC and on Channel 4 as well as on local television and local and national radio describing his unique technique and talking about the people and events that inspire his heart-warming work. Inspired by his own emotional responses to life, Doug’s intention is to provoke a positive response in others; his success in this aim can be seen not only by the huge impact his work has made on the British and international art scene, but also by the money he has raised for two important charities – “Look Good…Feel Better” and “Families for Children” – through the sale of his artwork.
In addition to many sell out limited edition artworks and original paintings, Doug has produced three fabulous hardback books, ‘The Man Behind the Smile’ ‘Heart and Soul’ and most recently ‘The Lost Reindeer’, a beautiful book combining fine art and folk tale to stunning effect.

We offer FREE delivery in Mainland UK and Northern Ireland on any orders over £150.00 on all but glazed or really delicate art work. If a picture has been glazed for example, we use a specialist carrier, a courier that specialises in delivering delicate items, unfortunately, though we pay a contribution, there is a charge for this service and delivery can take longer than usual, the charge is £35.00 for the first item then £10.00 per extra item delivered to the same address at the same time. Please contact us if you need more information on this service. On the vast majority of items on our website delivery is free in mainland UK. On goods totalling less than £150.00 there will be a cost for delivery, a delivery charge will be shown in the checkout process. A small charge is made for delivery to UK Islands. For deliveries outside the UK and Northern Ireland please contact us for a price.
We endeavour to post your item within 5 working days. Though due to stock levels and availability delivery can be longer, we will always inform you if delivery is to be longer than expected and at any time in the order process a refund is always an option is preferred.
We generally use Parcelforce’s 48 hour service, on smaller items we may use Royal Mail. Some publishers such as ‘Wishbone Publishing’ will deliver direct from their premises using their own van or courier, and at times, as we have outlined above, we can use a specialist carrier, which can delay delivery.
We take full responsiblity for postage, if when the item arrives you are unhappy with it for any reason, let us know and we will uplift the item at our own expense and either replace it if possible or refund you if you prefer.
We always take great care to package our deliveries with care.
