2. The Beatles.
Liverpool is the home of the Beatles, no visit to Liverpool
would be complete without a trip to Matthew Street and a visit to
The Cavern. Liverpool has so much to thank the Beatles for,

4. The Waterfront
Liverpool's magnificent waterfront has been designated a
'Unesco World Hertage Site'. The watrefront is ever evolving and
changing around the 'Three Graces', The Liver Building, The Cunard
Building and The Port Of Liverpool Building. It encompasses now the
regenerated Albert Dock, with the big wheel and many new hotels and
accomodation blocks.

5. The Museums
We have so many fantastic museums and art galleries in
Liverpool;

6. The Architecture.
We are blessed in Liverpool with some magnificent buildings, you
could leave Liverpool with a 'crick' in your neck from looking up
as you walk around. Liverpool has over 2,500 listed buildings
(including 27 grade I listed and 85 grade II listed), only
London and Bristol can boast more. There are more public sculptures
in Liverpool than any other location in the Uk besides Westminster
and there are actually more Georgian buildings in Liverpool than in
Bath.

7. The Mersey Ferry.
Once an essential link betwen the two banks of The Mersey, now
the service is not only invaluable to commuters, buy it is a great
tourist attraction. Commentery is provided on your crossing as is
of course a rendering of 'Ferry Across The Mersey' by Gerry and the
Pacemakers,the crew of the boats must be well tired of that
song!

8. The Football
I apologise to those many readers who would have put this first
in the list, it certainly has to be in this list somewhere. Who can
deny the football pedigree that Maerseyside offers. Even if you
aren't that interested in football, the stadia are well worth a
visit.

9. Speke Hall
Speke Hall is a rare example of a Tudor manor house with
restored Victorian interiors and William Morris wallpaper. Its a
magnificent building with lovely gardens. Don't miss the haunted
room and fab tea shop.

10. The Nightlife.
Liverpool is famous for its nightlife. The town offers something
for everyone. Liverpool boasts some fantastic theatres and music
